Biokovo and the Skywalk: up the mountain above Baška Voda
Biokovo is the backdrop to every view from Baška Voda — and a goal worth the effort. The Nature Park road leads to the summit of Sveti Jure at 1,762 metres; set off early, while the air is still clear.
Halfway up is the Skywalk, a horseshoe-shaped glass viewpoint jutting out over the drop. Tickets are sold at the park entrance and the number of cars is limited.
From the top you can see Brač, Hvar and Pelješac, and on clear days even the coast of Italy. Come back down for a late-afternoon swim — the beach is a hundred metres from the house.
